Create Status Codes

| 1. | Select Setup | Status Codes from PMXpert’s main menu. |
| 2. | The Status Code screen appears. |

| 3. | You can create Status Codes for four different kinds of records: Assets, Purchase Orders, Requests and Work Orders. |
| 4. | From the drop-down list in the upper left corner, select the record for which you want to create Status Codes. |
| 5. | Click the New button in the upper right corner of the screen. The Status [New] window appears. |
| 6. | For any type of Status Code, you can choose the color coding for the text and background. |
| a. | Click the Text or Back buttons to open the Color window. |
| b. | Click on the color you want to use. If you want to create a custom color, click the Define Custom Colors button to open up another portion of the window where you can choose the exact color you want. |
| c. | When you are done, click OK. |
| 7. | You also need to assign an Item # to each status. Choose a number that represents the Status Code’s position in a list (1 at the top). |
| 8. | Fill out the other fields in the New window, depending on which kind of status code you are creating. |

| 9. | When you have filled out all of the fields for the Status Code, click Save. |
