Create Status Codes

1.Select Setup | Status Codes from PMXpert’s main menu.
2.The Status Code screen appears.

3.You can create Status Codes for four different kinds of records: Assets, Purchase Orders, Requests and Work Orders.
4.From the drop-down list in the upper left corner, select the record for which you want to create Status Codes.
5.Click the New button in the upper right corner of the screen. The Status [New] window appears.
6.For any type of Status Code, you can choose the color coding for the text and background.
a.Click the Text or Back buttons to open the Color window.
b.Click on the color you want to use.  If you want to create a custom color, click the Define Custom Colors button to open up another portion of the window where you can choose the exact color you want.
c.When you are done, click OK.
7.You also need to assign an Item # to each status. Choose a number that represents the Status Code’s position in a list (1 at the top).
8.Fill out the other fields in the New window, depending on which kind of status code you are creating.

1.Enter a name for the Status, e.g. Active, Removed, Template, etc.
2.Choose the Type of status from the drop-down list: Active, Removed or Template.
3.Select the Show on PM Schedule checkbox if you want the services belonging to assets of this status to appear on the PM Schedule. Note that assets with a status type of Removed or Template will never appear on the PM Schedule.  This option is only relevant for Active-type statuses.  For more information about how the PM Schedule displays services, see Chapter 5: Generate a PM Schedule, How the PM Schedule Works.

1.Enter a name for the Status, e.g. New, Not Assigned, Assigned, Performed, etc.
2.Choose the Type of status from the drop-down list.
3.These status codes will also become sub-tabs on the Requests screen, so that you can click on a sub-tab to see requests of that status only.

1.Status: Enter a name for the Status, e.g. Open, Reopened, Closed, Cancelled, etc.

9.When you have filled out all of the fields for the Status Code, click Save.
