1.Select Setup | System Settings from PMXpert’s main menu.
2.Select the Requests tab. This additional tab is available to those who have purchased the Service Request Module. Under this tab, you will set up the email account that people will use when sending service requests to the program.  For more information about this module, see Chapter 12: Service Request Module, Requests Screen Overview.

3.Select your Method of Retrieving Requests by clicking the corresponding radio button.
a.None
b.POP3
i.This is the recommended method for receiving requests.
ii.Enter the Host Name, Port, User ID and Password.
iii.Click the Test Connection button to test the connection to the server.  The Information dialog box should inform you that the connection was established successfully.
c.Outlook, Extended MAPI or GroupWise MAPI
i.You can use the current user’s email settings as the request-receiving email by checking the Use User Email Settings box.
ii.If you do not use the current user’s email, choose the Profile Name from the drop-down list.  Enter a Password, if necessary, and choose the Message Store folder from the drop-down list (usually, this will be Personal Folders).
iii.From the Message From drop-down list, choose the folder in which you want to receive new request emails.  The default will be the Inbox, but you can create a special folder for receiving requests.
iv.From the Move To drop-down list, choose the folder to which you want to send request emails after you have recorded them in the Requests screen.  The default will be the Deleted Items folder, but you can also create a special folder for deleted requests.
v.Check the box if you want to Force Client to Check for Messages.
vi.Click the Test Connection button to test the connection to the server.  The Information dialog box should inform you that the connection was established successfully.
4.Note that the Service Request Module does not operate with Simple MAPI email, so applications like Outlook Express will not work.
5.Contact your system administrator for additional assistance with setting up this email account for your business.
6.When you have completed entering data into all the System Settings tabs, click Save.
