Feature in Focus: Asset History |

| An asset’s History is important information you need to know. It can help you evaluate trends in equipment servicing, determine whether current service scheduling is effective, and decide whether to continue maintaining an asset.
|
As you perform day-to-day tasks in PMXpert, the program automatically records crucial information that you can later view in the Asset History. To view an asset’s history, go to the Assets screen and find the asset you want to view. Click on the History tab in the middle section of the screen. You will see that the asset’s history information is stored under five tabs: Meter, Services, Costing, Procedures, and Locations. |
Under Meter, you can view all recorded meter readings, including the Usage, Adjustment and Difference between subsequent meter readings. The Services tab displays all scheduled and performed Services related to the asset, including the date scheduled/performed and related Work Orders. The Procedures tab displays the individual tasks performed on the asset within each service. The asset’s Costing History displays expenses related to the asset, categorized under “Parts”, “Labor”, “Fluid” and “Other”. Finally, if the equipment has been moved between different Locations, you can record the date in, expected date out and reason for the equipment relocation. |

Helpful Hint: Email Quick Fix |
|
| If for some reason, your PMXpert emails suddenly stop sending, a quick re-set of your email settings sometimes fixes the problem. Try this quick fix before contacting Support. |
Open the program and select Email Settings from the File menu. In the Email Settings window, take note of your current settings. Now, go into each field below Email Method (Profile Name, Password, etc.) and delete what is entered in each. When you have blanked out the fields, select None as the Email Method and click Save. |
Now, return to the File menu and select Email Settings again. In the Email Settings window, re-set all of the correct options for your Email and click Save. Hopefully, this has corrected the problem with your email. If you are still having problems, contact Support and explain that you already tried re-setting your email settings. |

For example, PMXpert’s Work Order Service Wizard guides the user through adding a service to the work order. It’s complete with options to add procedures as well as parts, fluids, labor or other details about the service, so nothing is left unconsidered when creating the service. You’ll even be informed of any unassigned requests attached to the asset and be given the option to assign them to the service at this time. When the work is complete and you’re ready to close the service, the Close Service Wizard reminds you of important details such as downtime, resource consumption and any unperformed requests. |
The Work Order Service Wizard can be activated immediately following the creation of a work order, or you can add services later by locating the required work order on the Work Orders screen and clicking the Create Service button. Instructions about closing a work order service is also contained in Chapter 6, under Close a Work Order Service. |
